Ridgewood police grab man in Captain America costume running across rooftops

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: In a Fourth of July incident that nearly passed unnoticed, Ridgewood police reported finding a Hackensack man drunk and running across the roofs of a string of two-story mixed-use buildings wearing a Captain America costume.

The man was taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood for treatment after firefighters using a ladder truck snatched him from the roof at 57 East Ridgewood Avenue.

Police said the former village resident was “heavily intoxicated.”
