Joseph Nizza, 26, of Rugby Court, was being held on $25,000 cash bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with two counts of child endangerment — for possession and for transmission of kiddie porn, records show.

Cyberdetectives were trolling online when they encountered Nizza, who was arrested without incident this morning, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

The prosecutor said that Nizzae “uploaded illicit files to undercover investigators of [Molinelli’s] Computer Crimes Task Force and the Passaic County
Sheriff’s Department Internet Crime Unit,” including “images and videos of pre-pubescent children engaged in sexual acts.”

Molinelli thanked Ridgewood police and the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department for their work on the case, headed by Detective David Apgar. Lyndhurst and Washington Township police lended officers to help in the investigation he added.

Nizza is due for a first appearance in Central Municipal Court in Hackensack on Tuesday.
