Detectives arrested Roberto Antonio Castro and the 17-year-old boy, also from Ridgefield Park, the day after the 10 p.m. Jan. 30 holdup on Oakwood Avenue and Columbia Place.

Both 17-year-old victims apparently knew Castro and his companion, police spokesman William Maer told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Neither was injured in the robbery, in which $83 in cash and two cellphones were stolen, he said.

The knife wasn’t recovered, Maer said.

Castro, meanwhile, was charged with two counts each of robbery by force and unlawful weapons possession.

The juvenile was issued a delinquency complaint on the same charges and taken to the Bergen County Juvenile Detention Center in Teterboro pending a hearing in the Family Part of Superior Court in Hackensack.
