Re/Max owner Tom Beritelli charged with child porn trafficking

Thomas Beritelli had “/images of prepubescent boys and girls engaged in sexual acts” on his computer, said Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli. Beritelli, 56, who is married, has owned Re/Max Real Estate Enterprises, Inc. in Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes for nearly 20 years. He is a past president and current VP of N.J.’s Multiple Listing Service.

After getting a tip, investigators with Molinelli’s Computer Crimes Unit obtained a warrant to seize and search Beritelli’s computer.

He is due in Superior Court at 9 a.m. tomorrow in Hackensack for a first appearance on charges of distributing child porn and child endangerment. Meanwhile, he remains free on $50,000 bail and is banned by a judge from using the Internet.
