Carylin Benavides, 22, of Wallington was arrested and charged with two counts of assault by automobile, and with driving under the influence of alcohol in a motor vehicle crash that caused serious bodily injury.

The Jeep Cherokee flipped around 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning as it rode the guardrail and came to rest on its roof, Molinelli said. Benavides, who was driving, and her two passengers, Joseph Diaz and Daniel Deluca, were all taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries.

Benavides has a Sept. 14 appearance scheduled in Rutherford Municipal Court.
