Officers tussled briefly with 25-year-old Mohammed Aloqailyail of Schenectady last night before charging him with theft of services and resisting arrest, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo said this morning.

Aloqailyail told them he removed the plates “to clean his car,” Pentangelo said.

He then “starting pushing the officers and pulling his hands away, refusing to be handcuffed” before they subdued him, he said.

PAPD officers arrested Mohammed for driving with a suspended license on the tunnel’s New York City side after he was stopped on April 29 for not having plates on his vehicle, records show.
