Stuart J. Lieberman of Monsey had a nearly empty bottle of vodka in the car after the 2003 Porsch 911Porche struck the rig on the upper level headed into New Jersey around 12:30 a.m., breaking his leg, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo said.

He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center after Port Authority tunnel and bridge agents cut him from the car.

The trucker was OK, Pentangelo said.

Authority police charged Lieberman with DWI and assault by auto, he said. They also issued him summonses for reckless driving and having an open alcohol container in his car.

Besides the empty bottle, Lieberman “smelled like alcohol,” Pentangelo said. “He was subsequently arrested.”

Also responding were the GWB fire truck and Fort Lee ambulance workers, he said.

The wreckage was cleared and the investigation completed just after 4:50 a.m.
