Sgt. Seth Kriegel discovered two warrants out of Hackensack and one out of Teaneck after stopping a 2013 black Audi 8 being driven by 34-year-old Joseph T. Law at the intersection of Arlington Avenue and westbound Route 4 West yesterday afternoon, Police Chief Robert A. Carney said.

After spotting a large bag of cash on the front seat, the sergeant obtained consent to search the vehicle, turning up what Carney described as 54 capsules “containing an unknown white powdery substance” and fifty 57 white pills that “have not been identified.”

Law was charged with illegal prescription drug possession and money laundering. He posted $20,000 bail and was released pending a Municipal Court appearance today, Carney said.
