Superior Court Judge Patrick Roma set the date after a tentative plea fell through earlier today, CLIFFVIEW PILOT has learned.

Brian Corriston of Norwood and Steven Diebner of Old Tappan, both 26, and 24-year-old Erin McHugh of Harrington Park are all under indictment in connection with the April 2013 break-in.

Diebner, who has a previous criminal record, also is charged in a separate theft out of Old Tappan and with possession of stolen property out of Rockland County, where authorities there said one of the stolen watches was fenced at a Nanuet shop.

A grand jury in Hackensack returned a true bill against the trio in Hackensack last fall.

It alleges that McHugh broke into the victim’s Leonard Drive home and took the watches, some of which Diebner and Corriston then sold to merchants in Closter and Paramus.

Corriston and McHugh remained free following their arraignments pending the outcome of the case.

Diebner, meanwhile, was being held on $75,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail in connection with another Old Tappan burglary and theft of stolen jewelry from a Lakeview Drive home.

Two of the watches have been returned to their owner. One remains in evidence in Clarkstown, N.Y.
