Officers Brian Kropp and Stephen Knatz discovered the drug after stopping Thomas Space, 24, of Plymouth, and 30-year-old Joseph Scibek of Luzerne on westbound Route 80 Saturday night as the pair headed back to Pennsylvania, Capt. Robert Kaiser told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

After buying it for a dollar a gram — a little over $450 — the duo apparently intended on selling it back home for six times that much — roughly $2,700, he said.

Space was charged with possessing synthetic marijuana with the intent to distribute it and released on a summons.

Scibek, meanwhile, was being held on $15,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with two counts of manufacturing/distributing drugs.
