Robert A. Bodurka, 44, and his fiancé, Barbara L. Raabe, 32, both of Rochelle Park, were stopped less than 90 minutes after Maywood Wine & Liquors on East Passaic Street was burglarized, Detective Mark Gillies told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
Inside her car: proceeds from the burglary, the detective said.
A judge set a higher bail for Bodurka this time: $50,000 cash. He’s charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief and heroin possession. The arrest also violates his parole — again. Bodurka’s rap sheet extends back 20 years.
Although arrested on Jan. 9 for a pair of break-ins, Bodurka was back on the street two days later after Raabe’s mother posted his bail.
Raabe was ordered held on $25,000 cash bail in this week’s incident, charged with receiving stolen property and crack possession.
Meanwhile, an ex-con accused of working with Bodurka in a similar smash-and-grab burglary on West Pleasant Avenue is free on bail after being arrested at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday in Paterson.
