NYC man extradited to NJ in alleged sex assault of girl, 6

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A Queens man is behind bars in Hackensack after being extradited from New York City on charges of sexually assaulting a Fairview girl when she was six.

Luis Bueno, 29, of Corona, Queens, was being held on $375,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with aggravated sexual assault of a minor, sexual assault of a minor and child endangerment.

Federal authorities also have issued a detainer on the 5-foot, 129-pound Ecuadoran national.

The victim kept the secret for seven years before confiding in a teacher last month, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said following Bueno’s arrest last week.

The teacher alerted the principal, who contacted authorities, he said.

Bueno, who is single and works for a demolition company, was contacted and met investigators at the 110th Precinct in New York City last Thursday.

He was arrested and taken to Riker’s Island before being extradited.
