Northvale PD graduates Junior Police Academy Class #8

SHOUT OUT: The Northvale Police Department held graduation in Hogan Park today for its eighth Junior Police Academy Class.

Launched in 2008, the program directed by Sgt. Robert Pizzi exposed students to various facets of law enforcement — criminal investigation, firearms safety and motor vehicle stops — during an intensive week.

The class took field trips to the Bergen County Jail and the 911 Memorial Museum at Ground Zero in Manhattan and had demonstrations and guest lectures from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Fort Lee Police Department Motorcycle Patrol Unit, Bergen County Regional SWAT and Hackensack University AirMed One.
