Frank Martorella, who lives in a Grand Avenue apartment complex near the corner of  63rd Street, was charged with sexual assault and endangering after North Bergen police picked him up on an arrest warrant issued out of Teaneck, they said.

Records show the alleged incidents occurred on Aug. 31.

Martorella, who played football at North Bergen High School, lifted weights and boxed a good portion of his life, spent a year in the Bergen County Jail in the late 90s after he was convicted in connection with an assault on a police officer, records show.

Then, in 2009, he was registered in North Bergen as a Tier 2 Megan’s Law offender, in connection with a criminal sexual contact case involving a pre-pubescent girl in Hudson County, records show.

Martorella’s rap sheet — not counting Hudson County incidents — also includes harassment charges in Englewood Cliffs and shoplifting in Fort Lee, among others.

He’s due in Superior Court in Hackensack on the new charges tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, he’s being held on $250,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, Molinelli said.
