Investigators following Nelson R. Roldan, 40, from his 83rd Street apartment stopped him in Paramus last Thursday afternoon after “they received information of possible drug distribution,” Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said this afternoon.

Search warrants led to the discovery and seizure of the cocaine — worth an estimated $100,000 on the street — in addition to $7,000 in cash, Molinelli said.

Bergen County Narcotic Task Force detectives also found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the apartment, he said.

Roldan, who was arraigned this afternoon in Central Municipal Court in Hackensack, was being held on $75,000 bail. He’s charged with a single drug distribution count.

Molinelli thanked North Bergen and Paramus police, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office and the DEA for their assistance in the case.
