Alexander Gesin, 47, of Brooklyn, was charged with burglary and theft after forensic investigators from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Identification recovered DNA evidence from the smashed window of a vehicle outside at Bergen Town Center. A laptop valued at $850 was taken.

Authorities in Florida charged Gesin in August 2012 with taking a $450 silver crown from a synagogue and then selling it in North Miami, records show. He has previous arrests in New York, as well.

Maywood police were also searching for 36-year-old Andrew Lucas, who they said broke into a vehicle in the HUMC Fitness and Wellness Center parking lot.

Lucas was charged with credit card theft, fraudulent use of a credit card and receiving stolen property after fingerprints lifted by BCSO detectives matched his, Detective Jason Liaban told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
