Maywood police catch alleged serial masturbator in library

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Maywood police said they caught a serial public masturbator from Hackensack in the act while looking at a female patron at the library.

Kevin Robinson, 37, “gave a full confession to Detective Richard Brown” after being taken into custody last night, Police Chief David Pegg told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

Moments earlier, an officer responding to a call from a library employee saw Robinson “with his left hand down his sweatpants moving back and forth in a manner consistent with masturbation,” the chief said.

Robinson “has a past history of these events and being criminally charged in other Bergen County municipalities,” he said.

Records show these include Teaneck, Hackensack and Englewood.

He was charged in Maywood with lewdness and released pending a court hearing.
