Ibrahim Makki, 33, at first failed to surrender the drugs and had an outstanding warrant from Weehawken after Officer Christopher Nichols stopped him Friday on Essex Street, Detective Matthew Parodi said.
Makki, who police said was also carrying drug paraphernalia, posted bail for the warrant and was released pending a Municipal Court hearing.
