“I have no indication that he’s not” going to survive, Detective Capt. John Buckley told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

The jumper pulled over his SUV on the bridge just before 11:30 a.m., got out and jumped, the captain said.

A construction worker nearby pulled him into a boat, after which the man “was removed from the scene by ambulance,” Buckley said.

The incident caused severe highway tie-ups.
