Man charged in stabbing, running over ex-wife delivered to Bergen lockup

ONLY ON CVP: Allan Pelcak Jr. quietly was delivered to the Bergen County Jail early Wednesday evening, where he is being held on $500,000 bail on charges of repeatedly stabbing and then running over his ex-wife with his truck in a hotel parking lot in Mahwah, CLIFFVIEW PILOT has learned.

Pelcak Jr., 41, originally was released after 12 hours of questioning following the late September attack on his ex-wife, 46-year-old Laura Matousek of Valley Cottage, N.Y., at the Sheraton Crossroads.

But last Friday morning investigators arrested Pelcak in front of at his Westcheser County home on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, weapons offenses, tampering with evidence and possession of child pornography and a stun gun.

He is due in Superior Court in Hackensack this Monday morning.

Matousek remained in a coma for several weeks. Since then, “she has made great strides toward recovery, having had numerous additional surgeries and extensive rehabilitation,” said Bergen County John L. Molinelli. CONTINUED…..
