Jurors began deliberating Wednesday afternoon, then reconvened Friday morning. They cleared 55-year-old Michael Telzer just after noon Friday.

“I am very happy for Mr. Telzer and his family that his innocence was finally vindicated,” his lawyer,
Robert Pentangelo, told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Mr. Telzer has suffered very much emotionally over the last year.”

Telzer, who now lives in New York, originally was indicted on four counts in connection with what police said was a July 2011 incident reported by a woman who’d been with her two daughters — ages 6 and 9 — on the walking path at Witte Field on Johnson Avenue just before 8 o’clock one night.

Charges included l
ewdness and child endangerment.
