If admitted, Adam P. Krilla, 20, and Daniel F. Mapes, 19, could have the charges removed, provided they follow certain requirements.
Authorities initially denied them entry, but Superior Court Judge James J. Guida yesterday set an Aug. 25 hearing to determine whether or not to uphold the decision.

Mapes has remained free on $75,000 bail since a day after the Oct. 3 incident. Krilla was released on $15,000 bail on Nov. 22.
Police issued a delinquency complaint, answerable in family court, to a Mahwah juvenile who they said was also involved.
The victim called police from near the Commodore Perry ballfield next to Island Road immediately after the holdup and described his assailants, whom authorities said he knew.
The Mahwah teen “explained that he had met three individuals near a Route 17 diner to purchase what he believed to be cocaine,” Mahwah Police Chief James Batelli said at the time.
He said he walked away after they showed him a product that he believed fake, the chief said.
The trio “then followed him down Island Road trying to convince him the substance was actually cocaine,” Batelli said.
As he approached the recreation area of the athletic facility, the teen told police, one of the three jumped him from behind and wrestled him down, then took his money. He sustained some minor bruises but declined immediate medical treatment, the chief said.

Responding Officer David Vega spotted three suspects running down West Ramapo Avenue a short time later. He got out of his vehicle, ordered them to stop, then took them into custody with support from backup officers.
The teen’s cash was recovered — and the substance wasn’t cocaine, Batelli said.
