Mahwah man sexually abused girl, 7, indictment alleges

ONLY ON CVP: A Mahwah man who police said was caught sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl abused her in several ways, a grand jury indictment returned in Hackensack alleges.

Suffern police arrested Tomas Marin-Martinez at a Rockland County movie theater on April 1, 2013 after an alert was broadcast and a tipster disclosed his location, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said at the time.

The girl’s mother called Mahwah police earlier that night after she found him sexually assaulting the girl, Molinelli said.

Grand jurors returned an 11-count superseding indictment that says Martinez:

•touched her breasts and buttocks with his hands and mouth;
•put his finger and tongue in her vagina;
•rubbed her vagina with his penis;
•made her give him oral sex;
•kissed her on the mouth.

He is also charged with sexual conduct that would impair or debauch the morals of a child.
