Mynasia Petty, a Hackesack High School graduate and former Costco and Fairway clerk who lives in a Route 46 apartment complex, was being held on $100,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with child endangerment.

Petty hit the boy several times on his legs, causing “significant bruising,” in full view of day care members who notified the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P), Molinelli said.

Detectives from his Special Victims Unit and Lodi police arrested her after having the boy examined at the Audrey Hepburn Children’s House at Hackensack University Medical Center, the prosecutor said.

Should she make bail, Petty was ordered by a judge to have no contact whatsoever with the boy, who was placed in a safe home by DCP&P.
