Lodi woman, 26, charged with attempted murder in boyfriend stabbing

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 26-year-old Lodi woman was being held on attempted murder charges after stabbing her live-in boyfriend overnight, authorities said.

Lodi police responding to a domestic dispute , just after 1 a.m. this morning said they found the victim standing on Main Street with a bloody shirt, holding the left side of his chest in pain.

He was rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center with wounds that didn’t appear life-threatening, they said.

Inside the apartment, they found a bloody Michelle Veleber, Detective Capt. Donald Scorzetti said this afternoon. They also recovered the knife, he told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Veleber was being held on $250,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail on attempted murder and weapons charges.
