Leonia man illegally had assault rifles, ammo, indictment charges

ONLY ON CVP: Police serving a Leonia man with a restraining order seized two assault rifles, a shotgun and a large-capacity magazine from his home, an indictment returned in Hackensack says.

Erik Ward, 40, was released on a summons after his March 16 arrest on three illegal weapons and one illegal ammunition count, records show.

The indictment says Ward didn’t have a license for the:

Russian/American Armory Company Saiga 12-gauge shotgun;
Elk River ERTD .62-caliber rifle;
AK-47 7.82-caliber rifle;
large-capacity magazine.
