A five-count indictment returned in April also accuses Joseph Manfredi of child endangerment.

Assistant Bergen County Prosecutor Kristin DeMarco told Superior Court Judge Margaret M. Foti on Friday that she has submitted a plea offer in writing to defense attorney Miles Feinstein but still owes him some evidence for review.

Authorities allege the assaults occurred several years ago but recently came to light when the girl, now a teen, told a guidance counselor at Lodi High School.

Manfredi, who is single and unemployed, remained held on $150,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.
