The 3 a.m. crash occured on Route 322 in West Goshen, Pa., hours after Dunn posted a photo of himself with two friends.

Dunn was a fixture on the show and in all three “Jackass” films.

In a message posted on the website of the producers of the “Jackass” series, Dunn was remembered by Johnny Knoxville, director Jeff Tremaine and “the entire ‘Jackass’ family” as a “brother.”

“I don’t really know what to say right now everybody, because the sadness is overwhelming,” the statement says, “but today we lost one of our own. Our brother Ryan Dunn has passed. He died in a car wreck in West Goshen, Pennsylvania this morning at 3 a.m. Goddamn, that’s tough to write.

“Our hearts go out to his family and his beloved Angie. Ryan will be missed and remembered by us all. Thanks for the kind words of support everybody.”

MTV posted its own Ryan Dunn remembrance page on
Facebook. Others have begun sprouting, as well.

TMZ reported that a friend said Ryan “had at least 3 beers and 3 shots before hitting the road in his Porsche.”

Dunn’s most memorable stunts included him being launched from a loading dock in a shopping cart. Then there’s the one with a toy he hid in a cavity before he went in for X-rays.

Dunn also was in a variety of spinoff shows and B movies.
