Bum S. Suh – who made headlines after authorities reported him missing four years ago – was arrested by Teaneck police following the alleged May 11, 2014 sexual assault, during which they said the gun discharged several times.
The 10-count indictment also accuses Suh of groping the 33-year-old woman after tackling her.
She eventually broke free and flagged down a passing motorist.
Besides assaulting her, the indictment accuses Suh, 50, of threatening to kill the woman and restraining and injuring her with a deadly weapon “under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life,” among other offenses.
Suh remained held in the Bergen County Jail on $375,000 bail, down from an original $500,000.
Authorities characterized Suh, formerly of Fort Lee, as “mentally challenged” when he was reported missing by his family in December 2010. He was last seen at the Port Authority bus terminal on 42nd Street in Manhattan and was believed headed to California at the time.
