John L. Kross, 65, who sources told CLIFFVIEW PILOT listened to tapes of his divorce hearing in his car, caused each victim “to fear for [his/her] safety or another,” while subjecting them to “emotional distress” through stalking and harassment, the indictment charges.
New Milford police took custody of a legal handgun — “still brand new, in the box,” while taking Kross into custody in December.
He has remained free on $22,500 bail posted soon after. A judge ordered him to have no contact with any of the alleged victims.
Over the past seven years, Kross “repeatedly engaged in acts of stalking and harassment of former family members utilizing the US Mail to defame them, the internet to acquire photographs and personal information on them and to make anonymous internet forum postings, and did also follow, photograph and make record of their daily lives,” New Milford police said.
