Investigators found no sign of forced entry after responding to burglaries at the business in the Mack-Cali building on June 19 and again two weeks later, Detective Sgt. James DePreta told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

Several items were reported taken, including cellphone and tablets, DePreta said.

Detectives who reviewed surveillance footage quickly developed 32-year-old Lamane Harrington as a suspect, he said.

They interviewed Harrington, who work an overnight shift in another business in the West Passaic Street building, and charged him with trespassing pending further investigation, the sergeant said.

After recovering building keys and swipe cards that it turned out didn’t belong to him, detectives linked Harrington to several burglaries and thefts throughout the site.

They obtained an arrest warrant executed by Hackensack police, who turned Harrington over to their Rochelle Park colleagues.

Harrington was being held on $46,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with three counts each of burglary and theft, two of receiving stolen property and one of possession fo burglary tools.

DePreta said detectives expect additional charges against Harrington as ther investigation continues.
