Hackensack restaurant worker charged with sexually abusing girl for 5 years

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A Hackensack restaurant worker sexually abused a local girl beginning when she was six and continuing until she was 11, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said in announcing his arrest.

Olayo F. Matamoros-Anazco, 53, was being held on $200,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with four counts of sexual assault and one of child endangerment.

The girl, now 13, “recently disclosed to a school guidance counselor what had occurred,” Molinelli said.

School officials notified Hackensack police, who contacted the prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit.

During an interview with unit detectives, the girl “provided specific details,” Molinelli said.

An arraignment was scheduled for this coming Wednesday.
