The Hackensack Middle School student told police he was approached near the corner of Union Street and Lawrence Avenue just after 7:30 a.m. Monday by a man in a black, two-door Honda Civic with tinted windows, Detective Capt. Thomas Salcedo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
The boy said the car had some type of sticker on the front windshield, but he didn’t know what it said.
He described the driver as white or Hispanic, in his 20s to 30s, with short black spiked hair and a goatee.
He said the man asked to help him find a lost dog, then drove off north on Union Street when he refused.
Police produced the sketch above based on the boy’s description.
This comes after a series of attempted luring reports last week in Norwood, Ridgefield Park and Leonia (see below).
