Hackensack police officer, driver who ran stop sign both OK after crash

UPDATE: A Hackensack police officer was injured, but not seriously in an crash this morning.

According to a witness, Officer Matthew DeBonis was headed west on Central Avenue in a city police cruise when the other driver ran a stop sign on northbound Railroad Avenue at 7:40 a.m., Capt. Timothy Lloyd told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Both were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.

The driver was issued summonses, Lloyd said.
