Hackensack Police Nab Homeless Man In Car Burglary Spree

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Hackensack police arrested a homeless man in a series of car burglaries.

Robert L. Oliver, 40, was taken into custody at the city homeless shelter Thursday, said Capt. Francesco Aquila, the officer in charge of the department.

Oliver remained held in the Bergen County Jail on Friday, charged with three counts each of burglary and theft, stemming from the Oct. 22 spree, in which the captain said various valuables were taken.
