Hackensack plumber’s assistant sexually abused girl for 4 years, prosecutor charges

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A plumber’s assistant from Hackensack sexually abused a girl for four years, beginning when she was 11, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said in announcing his arrest.

Marco A. Gonzalez-Calle, 31, was being held on $200,000 bail on charge of sexual assault, criminal sexual contact and child endangerment.

Members of the prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit and Hackensack polie arrested Gonzalez-Calle after the girl, now 16, told officials at Hackensack High School, Molinelli said tonight.

School officials notified city police, who contacted the SVU and the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency.

During an interview with unit detectives, the girl “provided specific details” about what happened, Molinelli said.

An arraignment was scheduled for this coming Wednesday.
