George Agreda was being held on $50,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with sexual assault and child endangerment, pending a first court appearance in Hackensack Municipal Court tomorrow.
He was arrested late last week after the girl’s father “learned that [she] was in a dating relationship” with Agreda and went to his parents’ house with Hackensack police on Thursday, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said early this afternoon.
Agreda “agreed to voluntarily accompany the responding officer to the Hackensack Police Department for further investigation,” the prosecutor said.
The girl also was interviewed by detectives from Hackensack and his Special Victims Unit and “confirmed the existence of a sexual relationship,” he said.
