Hackensack Mechanic Charged With Assaulting Boy, 9

HACKENSACK, N.J. – A Hackensack auto mechanic was arrested on child abuse charges after a 9-year-old city boy attended school with arm and neck injuries, authorities said Monday morning.

Jorge Reina-Gallo, 35, was released on a summons to appear Nov. 9 in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.

School officials contacted the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency, which alerted his Special Victims Unit, the prosecutor said.
