Sampson and the woman, who Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said didn’t know each other before, arranged to meet at a South Hackensack motel. There, “he threatened her with a knife and forced her to engage in sexual activities with him,” the prosecutor said.
“After the assault, Sampson stole the victim’s cellular telephone, bank cards, driver’s license and cash,” he added.
Detectives went straight to his home and arrested him after the woman called police. There, Molinelli said, they found her phone, cards and license.
Sampson, who is single and unemployed, is being held on $400,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.
Anyone else who may have been similarly victimized by Sampson is asked to call the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Squad: 201.226-5620.
