Rahvae A. Richards of Berry Street was being held on $100,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with aggravated criminal sexual contact and child endangerment.

The tip “was initially provided to the Hackensack Police Department by the Coral Springs, Florida, Police Department, which became aware of it while conducting an investigation unrelated to the incident in New Jersey,” Molinelli said.

Hackensack police contacted the boy’s mother and arranged for an interview with investigators, during which the teen “provided specific details about having been touched in an inappropriate manner” by Richards two months ago, the prosecutor said.

Richards, who is single, was arraigned earlier today.
