Davis Avenue residents called police after hearing the feline crying over night in a tree at Staib Park. Ladder 1 and Engine 5 responded, and two firefighters climbed the aerial ladder.

“She was very cooperative,” the department’s Lt. Justin Derevyanik told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

“She was brought down in a hydrant bag, to the delight of the onlooking residents,” he said. “Then she was turned over to animal control to see whether her owner could be located.”
