James B. Rattacasa, 35, was released without bail pending a May 31 detention hearing in Central Judicial Processing Court on drug distribution charges, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.

“On May 6, the Oakland Police Department revived a 33-year-old male overdose victim using Nalaxone,” Grewal said. “Subsequent investigation by the Oakland Police Department revealed that [Rattacasa] was distributing controlled dangerous substances in and around Hackensack.”

Investigators from Grewal’s office and Hackensack police led to Rattacasa’s arrest on Friday, the prosecutor said.
