The bus, containing 14 pupils of the Fanny Hillers Elementary School, was headed south on Park Street just after 8 a.m. when it was hit by a car driven by a 58-year-old Hackensack woman going east on Passaic Street, Detective Capt. Tom Salcedo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

She was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with back pain, he said.

Two other cars going north on Park were also struck. A 32-year-old Teaneck who was driving one of the vehicles was taken to the hospital with leg pain, Salcedo said.

Four of the children were taken to the medical center with minor scrapes and bruises, he said.

Officials and teachers at the K-4 school in Hackensack were notified, as were parents, Salcedo said.

The incident remains under investigation.
