Hackensack Driver Who Struck Pole Said She Swerved To Avoid Another Car

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- A Hackensack driver told police she hit a utility pole and a "No Parking" sign early Tuesday afternoon after swerving to avoid another vehicle.

The woman was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center after the crash at Linden and Passaic streets, Capt. Peter Busciglio said.

A PSE&G crew arrived to repair the utility pole.
