Once he settles accounts in Middlesex County, 35-year-old Kevon Larkins must deal with a separate warrant out of Jersey City, Hackensack police confirmed.

Two months ago, Larkins posted $42,500 bail and was released after police “determined that [he] assaulted the mother of his children,” including slamming a door on her hand, which required medical attention, Hackensack Detective Capt. Thomas Salcedo said at the time.

He also threatened further violence, the captain said.

Officers grabbed Larkins as he tried to leave the woman’s home, Salcedo said, adding that he was taken into custody without incident.

Police charged the 5-foot-9-inch, former Hackensack High School track star with aggravated assault and making terroristic threats.

They added an additional assault charge in connection with a similar alleged incident on Jan. 7, Salcedo said.

Larkins, who has a record of petty offenses, was elected to the School Board a year ago.
