A holdup alarm came in to Hackensack police headquarters just before 4 o’clock this afternoon from the PNC Bank.
Bank employees said the robber, bundled up in gray and black, “went to the end of the teller station and pulled out what appeared to be a revolver,” Detective Capt. Thomas Salcedo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
He then “ordered the tellers individually to hand over the money in their drawers,” the captain said.
The robber ran out and got into a black car that sped off on Route 17 south.
He’s described as black, heavier-set, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black jacket and black shoes.
Bank officials were trying to determine how much was taken. Meanwhile, detectives were reviewing surveillance video.
