Girl, 10, father struck by mini-van at Fair Lawn intersection

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 10-year-old girl and her father sustained injuries that police said weren’t considered life-threatening when they were struck by a mini-van at a Fair Lawn intersection tonight.

Although witnesses at first said they thought the girl was more seriously hurt in the 5:27 p.m. crash, Police Lt. Joseph Dawicki told CLIFFVIEW PILOT the preliminary indications are that she and her 37-year-old father will survive.

Both victims were taken by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center following the 5:50 p.m. crash at the intersection of Fair Lawn Avenue and Abbott Road.

The driver remained at the scene of the crash, Dawicki said.
