Teresa Sue Kirkendale, 48, “became irate” when asked to leave Garfield Bar & Liquor on Wood Street around 8 o’clock the night of April 7, police told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

“Several other patrons pointed to the rear area where she was sitting” when officers arrived, Capt. Darren Sucorowski said.

Kirkendale spit at Officer Christopher Strabone and tried to grab his service weapon, the captain said.

She was subdued without further incident, he said.

Kirkendale posted $25,000 bail on April 13 and was released from the Bergen County Jail.
