Garfield woman died before Westwood crash, police say

ONLY ON CVP: Westwood police believe a Garfield woman cut out of her car after it struck a tree died before the crash.

“Based on a lack of blood from a head wound, it appears her heart wasn’t beating at the time of the crash,” a law enforcement source with knowledge of the incident told

CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

The car careened off Fourth Avenue and into a tree on Meadow Road, police said.

Westwood firefighters got her out of the vehicle and Hillsdale ambulance workers took her ot Hackensack University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
