A 15-count indictment returned by a grand jury in Hackensack charges Christian L. Corchado with committing the break-ins at two homes in the 2000 block of Linwood Avenue, and in:

  • the 500 block of Summit Avenue;
  • the 1600 block of Valley Street;
  • the 2000 block of Fletcher Avenue;
  • the 1600 block of Maple Street;
  • Hazlitt Avenue.

Corchado was released on $25,000 bail five weeks ago after spending three months in the Bergen County Jail.

He’d been free without bail for a January 2013 arrest when Fort Lee police picked him up four months ago.

A pair of Fort Lee detectives who made last year”s motel pot bust turned up a trio of watches and other goods reported stolen a short time before, Police Chief Keith Bendul said at the time.

The watches were swiped along with $19,000 worth of jewelry on Jan. 13 of last year, he said.

Further investigation led detectives to connect Corchado to the seven burglaries.
